I had been at the eye clinic at St Richards Hospital earlier that afternoon and gad vee given a prescription by the Consultant Opthalmologist which I hadn't realised wasn't signed or dated so was illegal. The Allied Chemist Pharmacist said they didn't have the medication on the prescription and couldn't do anything with it as it was illegal. She suggested I went to the Middleton Surgery opposite to hopefully get it signed by a Doctor. When I went over to the surgery, the Receptionists were leaving for the day but they stayed to make sure my prescription was signed especially as I needed the medication asap. I was very grateful to the Receptionists and the other staff who helped out with this.

It’s hard waiting weeks for a non urgent appointment.

I wasn’t told what the next steps should be. We had a conversation about getting a blood test and monitoring blood pressure, but it wasn’t clear what the next steps should be.
